About this Site
This is a new web site which provides resources for MySQL administrators and developers. To begin, we've created our own documentation of the MySQL software—see the Sun MySQL site to download the software. Our site also provides tutorials on using MySQL: the basics for new developers and database administrators. We've also set up a section with a list of recommended books on MySQL. These will include reviews of many of the books and ratings of them. If you intend to buy a book on MySQL, please use the links from our books section so that we can get a small referral fee from Amazon to help pay the cost of this site. Below is are tallies on the contents and other resources of this site.

The idea is that when you need help with MySQL and you’re trying to figure it out for yourself, we want this site to be the place you find what you need. However, it is our goal to make it easier for you to come to this one location for MySQL resources. We have a long way to go, of course, but we’ve made excellent progress since starting in January 2009 and we’re growing rapidly. So, keep us bookmarked and when you have a problem, try us first.

If you work with MySQL regularly and need a book on the topic with an easy to follow writing style and helpful examples, please consider buying MySQL in a Nutshell. If you already have the first edition, the second edition recently came out: it’s much better than the first edition and has had some great reviews.
